TEACHING WORKSHOPS
Louise Coetzer is a renowned lecturer, facilitator and teacher. Her experience spans a wide range of dance techniques, with a focus on Contemporary Dance styles including Graham, Horton, Limon and Release Techniques.
Louise is guest lecturer at the University of Cape Town's Centre for Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies, aside from her role as rehearsal director for Darkroom Contemporary Dance Theatre. She has taught for the Western Cape Education Department, City Varsity and AFDA Drama Departments, New Africa Theatre, Cape Junior Ballet and was head of the Contemporary Dance Programme at Dance For All .
Louise teaches a fluid class aimed at building strength, stamina and focus. Louise regularly facilitates workshops on movement composition, contemporary dance techniques, dance film and her choreographic repertoire.These workshops offer students the opportunity for creative expression and to expand their own toolbox for composition and movement exploration.
